Ann Hanson Fine Art

Ann Hanson grew up in rural Wyoming and still enjoys the country lifestyle. She and her husband Steve built a new home with a panoramic view of the BigHorn Mountains outside of Shell, Wyoming. The best part of the move is the large new studio.
Hanson paints with oils and pastels and is noted for her very realistic and highly detailed paintings. She paints her friends and neighbors doing what they do every day.
Ann has been in several national western art shows, including  Cowgirl Up! at the Desert Caballeros Museum in Wickenburg, AZ; the 2003 Prix de West at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City, OK;  the Buffalo Bill Art Show in Cody, WY since 1990, when she won the William E. Weiss Purchase award; the featured artist at the Cattleman's Show in Paso Robles, CA in 2003; the Settlers West Miniature Show in Tucson, AZ since 2004; Cheyenne Frontier Days Art Show; Heart of the West at the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame in Fort Worth, TX and the Mountain Oyster Club Art Show in Tucson, AZ.. Ann has been featured in Art of the West, Western Horseman, U.S. Art, American Artist, and InformArt Magazines. Ann's painting titled "Sharpshooter" was on the cover of Southwest Art Magazine in March, 2006 and her work was featured in Southwest Art in March, 2007. Her work was also featured in the summer 2008 edition of Horses In Art Magazine.
